Molas B300 To Obtain DNVGL Grading Test Report

In April 2021, DNVGL provided the final classification test report (Type-specific Classsification) for Molas B300 wind measuring lidar of Nanjing Mulei Laser Technology Co., LTD. Molas B300 became the first and only wind measuring lidar in China to fulfill the grading test requirements specified in IEC61400-12-1.

The whole test lasted for nearly one year, during which DNVGL and Radium laser worked together to overcome the impact of the epidemic and successfully completed the three test stages required by the graded test. During the test, a total of two Molas B300 wind lidar units underwent rigorous testing at DNVGL test sites in Hamburg and Janneby, Germany.

According to IEC 61400-12-1 standard, grading tests for instruments and equipment require at least two device units to be tested in two different addresses, and at least one device unit must be deployed in two addresses, which requires at least three stages of grading tests for each type of instrument and equipment. In response to the requirements of the standard, two Sets of Molas B300 were sent to Germany to participate in the test. Device A was tested for 3 months in Hamburg, nearly 4 months in Janneby, and device B was tested for 4 months in Janneby.

The classification test is to evaluate the influence of environmental parameters (including temperature gradient, temperature, wind direction, turbulence intensity, wind direction change rate, rainfall and inflow Angle) on the measurement accuracy of wind lidar. The test results show that Molas B300 is at an excellent level. The grading test can help customers gain a deeper understanding of Molas B300 measurement performance and provide guidance for customers to use Molas B300 for wind resource assessment, power curve testing, power prediction and other purposes. The graded test report can also be used as an important basis for bank loans when domestic and foreign customers develop new projects.

Prior to the classification test, the Molas B300 wind lidar was verified by DNVGL, and the results were excellent and ranked at the leading international level. Since 2016, Molas B300 has successively obtained many test reports from German WindGuard, Danish DTU, German DNVGL and domestic balance.
